Let's Make Change Happen, Pune !

Pune City Connect is a non-profit organization that works towards bringing together Corporates, Citizens, NGOs and the Government for the development of Pune.

As part of the Pune Municipal Corporation’s goal of a Digital Pune, both Pune City Connect and NASSCOM Foundation have joined hands to enable a 100% Digitally Literate Pune.

Due to the demonetization move, Financial Literacy in particular has become an urgent need. This is a call to action for volunteers from across Pune to enable Financial Literacy for all Punekars. The volunteers will need to connect with the beneficiaries and help them get on to any one of 5 of the cashless transaction platforms including eWallets, USSD, UPI, POS and Aadhar Enabled Payment System.

We invite volunteers to help minimum 10 people around them become aware of cashless solutions and start using them. The goal is that at least one person per household is financially literate in order to enable inclusive growth in the new age cashless economy.

Please register to become a part of this large-scale, national movement to create a supportive ecosystem for the thousands of citizens left stranded by the demonetization move. Let’s make change happen. Let’s create history together.

Training Curriculum


Where do I find the beneficiaries?

You can start at your home itself.  Start by training your house help, your security guard, driver, press wala and then move towards anyone who you think is struggling with cashless ways of transaction.

What do I teach?

You can teach the beneficiaries on any one (or more) cashless transaction tool that you are comfortable with, using yourself. This could be eWallets like SBI Buddy or Paytm or any other. It could be UPI apps like BHIM or others, USSD for those who have a basic phone etc. A basic curriculum is also available on this website to help you out.

Is there a time period to train 10 beneficiaries?

Ideally, the beneficiaries will need to get trained by 31st of January.

What do I get if I train 10 beneficiaries?

As soon as you train 10 beneficiaries and register them on this portal, you will get a cobranded certificate from NASSCOM Foundation, PCC and PMC.
